Free trade guidance, precise calls, collective profit-sharing — the atmosphere itself is the most powerful tool of manipulation.
A victim entered a live stream hosted by a so-called "mentor" via a short-video advertisement. The mentor analyzed market trends daily and provided trading levels free of charge in the group. After a week of seemingly "uncannily accurate" calls, the mentor directed viewers to trade on a designated platform, claiming they could access "exclusive leverage."
Following their initial small profits, the victim took large positions and was promptly wiped out. The mentor attributed the losses to "insufficient capital to withstand market volatility" and urged further deposits. After the victim had invested approximately USD 3.2 million in total, the live stream was shut down.
How the Scheme Works
1. So-called "precise calls" are actually made in both directions: different people receive different signals, so someone always believes the mentor is remarkably accurate.
2. The vast majority of "students" in the group are paid actors, designed to create excitement and herd pressure.
2. The designated platform controls slippage and liquidation prices directly — your losses are their profits.
⚠️ WARNING
Legitimate institutions never provide free trading guidance in group chats, nor do they direct you to open accounts on some "internal platform." Any "mentor" who recommends a platform should be treated as a scammer.
